Indiana sophomores Taya Reimer (Hamilton Southeastern) and Stephanie Mavunga (Brownsburg) will both be representing the red, white & blue this summer as members of the 2011 USA Basketball Women’s U16 National Team.
In a departure from its invitation-only format of the past, USA Basketball instituted a new application process to include more participants at the U16 national team trials for 2011. Two applicants from Indiana are listed on the trial roster — 5’10 Columbus East freshman forward Allyson Bunch and 5’6 Bedford North Lawrence freshman forward Brittani Rizzi.

Sophomore standouts Stephanie Mavunga (Brownsburg) and Taya Reimer (Hamilton Southeastern) are two of 35 athletes invited to the trials for the 2011 USA Basketball Women’s U16 National Team. The Under 16 trials will take place from May 26 to May 30 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
