1st Annual IBN All Star Games tomorrow
The first of a variety of statewide all star events is slated to take place tomorrow in Hammond. Indiana Basketball News is sponsoring its first annual all star games at the Purdue University Calumet Athletics Center beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 10.
The girls’ game will have a definite Northwest Indiana flavor to it, with 11 of the 20 girls participants from schools in Lake and Porter Counties. The player lineup for the girls’ event is as follows:

- Andrea Kras (Lake Central, right)
- Brooke Polus (Lake Central)
- Kaley Marcinak (Lake Central)
- Stefanie Lang (Valparaiso, right)
- Ashley Evans (Hammond Gavit)
- Alex Puckett (Brebeuf)
- Brandi McKinney (Warren Central)
- Demetria Nunnley-Lash (Ben Davis)
- Jordan Barton (Warren Central)
- Kristen Malone (Warren Central)
- Kayla Long (Pike)
- Venetria Martimore (Gary Westside)
- Kayla Higginbotham (Hanover Central)
- Samantha Huffnagle (Hanover Central)
- Linden Daiss (Sheridan)
- Alyssa Holder (Pike)
- Tasha Moss (Warren)
- Abby Walters (Washington Township)
Coaches for the game are head coach Amy Govert of Merrillville and assistant coach James Banks, Sr. of Ben Davis, somewhat recreating a coaching rematch of the 4A state finals game.
