It was almost a sweep, but Indiana dropped the broom too soon. After holding a six point lead with less than a minute to go, Kentucky went on a 6-0 run to tie the game in regulation. Kentucky carried that momentum into the overtime period, outscoring Indiana 16-9 to win the game 94-87.

After taking care of the ball in Game 1, turnovers were the Achilles’ heel for Indiana in Game 2. The Hoosier team gave it up 29 times, including a backcourt violation that set up Kentucky for the tying bucket in regulation.

Miss Basketball Courtney Moses (Oak Hill) finished with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Her combined 52 points for the series is ranked third in All-Stars history. Tiffany Gooden of FW Snider holds the combined scoring record of 55 points in 1994, followed by Skylar Diggins of South Bend Washington in 2009 and Geri Grigsby of Kentucky in 1977, both with 54 points.

Jada Buggs (Elkhart Memorial) and Anna Munn (Decatur Central) added 16 and 15 points, respectively.

Dee Dee Williams (Ben Davis) added 5 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists and was named the John Wooden Citizenship Award winner at halftime.
