WNBA Draft: Harris to join UConn’s Moore at Minnesota; Phillips headed to Atlanta
The WNBA draft is underway, and Indiana products Amber Harris (North Central/Xavier) and Ta’Shia Phillips (Brebeuf/Xavier) were drafted in the first round. As the No. 4 overall pick, Harris will join No. 1 draft pick Maya Moore of Connecticut at Minnesota, while Phillips went as the No. 8 pick overall to the Atlanta Dream.
The Fever selected 6’0 Stanford guard Jeanette Pohlen as their first draft pick at the No. 9 spot. Indiana has one more selection left with the No. 33 pick.
