An elite group of the state’s 2013-2014 senior players will participate in the 26th annual North-South Indiana All-Star Classic on Sunday, April 13. The girls game will be played at Vincennes University in Vincennes, Indiana at 2 p.m.
Thirty-six Indiana high school senior girls have been chosen as first-team Academic All-State by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association. In addition, 107 more girls were recognized as honorable mention Academic All-State for 2014.
Thirteen players led by Miss Basketball Whitney Jennings of Logansport have been selected for the 2014 IndyStar.com Indiana Girls All-Stars.
The coaching staffs for the IndyStar.com Indiana Girls’ All-Stars and the IndyStar.com Indiana girls Junior All-Stars have been set. Eric Thornton to guide seniors, Kristi Kaniewski Ulrich to direct juniors in games in June.
In its 29th year of honoring the nation’s best high school athletes, The Gatorade Company, in collaboration with USA TODAY High School Sports, today announced Whitney Jennings of Logansport High School as its 2013-14 Gatorade Indiana Girls Basketball Player of the Year.
