Hoosier Basketball Magazine has announced its 2011 selection of the Top 60 senior girls basketball players as compiled by publisher Garry H. Donna. These girls were selected from approximately 1,600 senior players statewide.
The IHSAA has released its complete media packet of information for the upcoming state tournament in Fort Wayne on Saturday, which includes all team rosters, statistics, team-by-team notes and historical state tournament info.
The IHSAA has assigned game sites for the the final 12 teams in the tournament for semi-state action.
Semi-State pairings are set for next Saturday (site assignments to be determined at Elkhart Central, Warsaw, Southport and Bedford North Lawrence).
The longest win streak in Indiana girls basketball history ended tonight with Carmel handing the Giants their first loss in three years — February 16, 2008, to be exact — ironically, to Carmel in a 56-45 regional final loss. This year’s Carmel and Ben Davis seniors were freshmen during that season.
