Oak Hill’s Moses named 2010 Miss Basketball

The Indianapolis Star announced that Purdue signee Courtney Moses of Oak Hill is the winner of this year’s Miss Basketball Honors.

The 5’7 point guard amassed 1,956 points, 577 assists and 158 treys during her four-year high school career, setting 27 school records in the process at Oak Hill. She led her team to the state finals two years running in 2008 and 2009, only to fall short to Heritage Christian both times in the 2A state championship game. This season, the 20-4 Golden Eagles made it as far as the Regional final before falling to Fort Wayne Luers 48-45.

As a senior, Moses was stellar in her final high school campaign, averaging 31.7 points, 5.0 steals, 4.8 assists and 4.8 rebounds, while shooting 62% from the field, 42% from 3-point and a sizzling 91% from the line. She will step in immediately next season at Purdue to give the Boilermakers a lift in the backcourt.
