Former Purdue assistant Katrina Merriweather has been hired by first-year Wright State head coach Mike Bradbury. Merriweather will get a fresh start with the Raiders program after a four-year hiatus from coaching in the college ranks after resigning her post at Purdue in 2006.

Three Indiana natives have been named to the WBCA Wade Watch List for 2010-11. Skylar Diggins (SB Washington) of Notre Dame, Amber Harris (North Central) of Xavier and Ta’Shia Phillips (Brebeuf) of Xavier are three of 25 top NCAA Division I student-athletes who will be in the running for the State Farm Wade Trophy to be awarded at the end of the upcoming college basketball season.
The trees have done it again. For the ninth consecutive year, the Indiana State women’s basketball program has been ranked in the WBCA Academic Top 25 of Division I schools.
